Factory Sherco rider Wade Young notched up another international podium racing in his first experience at the Lagares Extreme Enduro in Portugal.
The prologue was conducted in three stages; the first stage was held in the urban streets of Porto. Wade fell on the slippery cobblestones and finished seventh, in the second stage, which was held in the woods he finished third, he finally won the night stage but it was canceled because some riders got lost.
So Wade soared into third place in the main race, he was in a position to battle for victory before damaging his exhaust in a stream, it almost damaged the cylinder but he was able to return to the support area for repairs. He managed to continue and finished in third place overall. An excellent result considering his lack of experience in this venue.
The next race for Wade will be The Red Bull Romaniacs from the 12th to 16th July.
